Intuitive Eating (IE) is way more nuanced than "eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full". Ten core principles make up Intuitive Eating. They are designed to help you relearn instincts you were born with.

Trust, curiosity, attunement, healing, nondieting, respect, and freedom are aspects of Intuitive Eating.

Developed by Evelyn Tribole, MS, RDN and Elyse Resch, MS, RDN, Intuitive Eating is the opposite of a diet.

Diets are all about rules,  frequently disguised as "clean eating", "wellness", and other euphemisms. Whatever you call it, diets do not work. Dieting has become a 'cultural neurosis'.

Intuitive Eating has tons of benefits, including improved well being, lower risk of eating disorders, and even improved biomarkers such as cholesterol. Satisfaction, enjoyment, and pleasure also increase. All of these findings have been replicated in over 100 research studies.

Gimmicks and fads do not work. IE is the real thing.
